Q. Does the clinic accept patients without OHIP?
A. Patients without OHIP will be seen by the doctor for a fee. Please inquire about our fee schedule. For Canadian citizens with a non-Ontario health card, a standard visit will be covered by your provincial health care plan according to the policies outlined by your province. Q. Is this a walk-in clinic?
A. No. Our policy is to have patients book an appointment to reduce waiting times. However same day appointments are often available and patients are welcome to inquire about an immediate appointment.
Q. What is the the difference between a walk in clinic and having a family doctor?
A. Walk in clinics will deal with immediate problems requiring little to no followup. Often you will see a different doctor every time you make a visit. They provide an important service in our health care system but for ongoing medical issues, most clinics will not provide the care.
A family doctor knows your medical history and will provide ongoing care for medical problems ranging from the simple to the complex. Prevention will be emphasized and annual physical checkups are part of their routine care.
Q. My child is going to a pediatrician. Can he/she still enroll with one of your family doctors?
A. Yes, our family doctors provide care to patients of all ages.
Q. Can I have more than one family doctor?
A. No, you can enroll only with one family doctor at a time.
Q. Which hospitals are you affiliated with?
